Location

On the head, 2.5 cun within the anterior hairline, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

How to locate: Find the midpoint between the anterior hairline and GV20 on the vertex (5 cun above the hairline), which is 2.5 cun within the hairline, then measure 1.5 cun laterally; GB17 lies on the same level further out.
