Osteopathic Cranial Therapy
StarAbout
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Practitioners use very light touch to evaluate the craniosacral system — the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
CST was pioneered by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger and is practiced by a range of health professionals.
Benefits
Craniosacral therapy provides relief from chronic headaches and migraines, neck and back pain, TMJ dysfunction, and stress-related disorders. It is particularly effective for infants with birth trauma, feeding difficulties, and colic. It also supports recovery from traumatic brain injuries, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and PTSD.
