Description
Xin Jia Huang Long Tang (Newly-Augmented Yellow Dragon Decoction), from the Wen Bing Tiao Bian (Systematic Differentiation of Warm Disease) by Wu Ju-Tong — a variation of Huang Long Tang.
Actions: Clears heat, purges the stools, tonifies qi, and nourishes yin (as described).
Presentation: Yangming fu syndrome with qi and yin depletion: constipation, abdominal fullness, hardness and rigidity, lethargy, low energy, weak voice, dry mouth and tongue, dry or chapped lips, dry yellow or dry black fissured tongue coating.

Preparation
Cook all except Ren Shen in 8 cups water down to 3 cups; take 1 cup with half a cup of separately decocted Ren Shen and 2 spoonfuls of ginger juice. Repeat after 1-2 h if no bowel movement, and a third dose after 24 h if needed; stop once bowels move. Afterward take one dose of Yi Wei Tang (Sha Shen, Mai Dong, Di Huang, Yu Zhu, rock sugar; Ren Shen optional) to recover.
