Description
Jia Jian Zhu Ye Shi Gao Tang (Modified Lophatherum and Gypsum Decoction), from Formula Based on the Experience of Ding Gan-Ren (1927).
Associated formula of Zhu Ye Shi Gao Tang.
Indications: Persistent fever after measles or scarlet fever appear resolved, with thirst, a painful throat, and cough with copious sputum
Pattern: Heat lingering in the Lungs and Stomach retained by phlegm (qi and fluids not damaged)
Usage: For sequelae of measles and scarlet fever where fever persists; ren shen and mai men dong are dropped in favor of exterior-clearing, Lung-draining and phlegm-transforming herbs.
