Description

Gua Lou Zhi Shi Tang (Trichosanthes Fruit and Immature Bitter Orange Decoction), from the Wan Bing Hui Chun (Restoration of Health from the Myriad Diseases) by Gong Ting-Xian.

Actions: Breaks up stagnation and dissolves phlegm; Clears heat and moistens dryness; Relieves chest congestion.

Presentation: Phlegm-heat stagnation in the chest: phlegm in the chest difficult to expectorate, chest pain, difficulty rotating the trunk due to chest pain, fullness and stifling sensation in chest and hypochondrium, fever, aversion to cold, labored breathing, and delirious speech.
