Description
Da Tou Wen Tang (Massive Febrile Disorder of the Head Decoction), from Medical Collectanea of Kong Bo-Hua (1988).
Associated formula of Pu Ji Xiao Du Yin.
Actions: Clears heat; Drains fire; Dissipates clumps; Resolves toxicity
Indications: Severe swelling of the face and neck, chills and fevers, thirst, a white greasy tongue coating, and a wiry, slippery, and rapid pulse
Pattern: Massive febrile disorder of the head from wind, dampness and heat obstructing the upper burner
Usage: Kong Bo-Hua's warm-pathogen-oriented alternative to the principal formula for massive febrile disorder of the head.
