Description

Da Huo Luo Dan (Major Invigorate the Collaterals Special Pill), from the Lan Tai Gui Fan (Guidelines from Lan-Tai) by Xu Da-Chun — a variation of Xiao Huo Luo Dan.

Actions: Dispels wind; Tonifies qi and blood; Opens the channels and collaterals; Relieves pain.

Cautions:

  • Xi Jiao, Hu Gu and She Xiang come from endangered animals; rarely used today and removed or substituted in modern products (listed for historical/academic purposes)

Preparation

Grind all to powder, form honey pills coated with gold foil (Jin Bo), about the size of a longan seed; take one pill with aged grain liquor twice daily.
