Description
A Wei Xiao Pi Gao (Chinese Asafetida Mass- Dispersing Ointment), from The Complete Works of [Zhang] Jing-yue (Jing Yue Quan Shu).
Actions: Dispel wind and invigorate blood, relieve swelling and pain, disperse stuffiness, and dissipate masses. Indicated for the treatment of cervical malignancy with cachexia, with pain in the abdomen and stomach cavity, concretions and conglomerations ( zhēng jiă ) and masses, or lump in the neck, hardness like stone, not to move when pushed, no change of the skin color, emaciation, haggard complexion, white or yellow coating, wiry, and slow pulse
Indications: Effects of this formula are fierce; its use is prohibited in pregnant women
